Congratulations to Kelsey Knott

At the 2011 Fort Saskatchewan 4-H Beef Show Kelsey Knott had Grand Champion Steer with a Red Angus Steer Bred by Northline Angus, Tailor Made Insurance purchased the steer for $3.20lb. Kelsey also had Reserve Grand Champion Female with a Red Angus cross heifer sired by our senior herdsire HCF Red Rock. Congratulations Kelsey Knott, and a huge thanks for all your help and hard work! 

Northline Angus at the Denver Stock Show 2011

Northline Fat Tony 605U was named Grand Champion Bull at the National Western Stock Show in Denver yesterday. Congratulatrions to Fat Tony's co-owners as well, Pugh Farms and Glessbar Angus. Northline Angus was honoured to take home Premier Breeder and Exhibitor from the Stock Show as well.

Other divisions Northline Angus bred cattle placed in included Champion Spring Bull Calf Red Northline Wise Guy 56X, and Reserve Champion Spring Bull Calf Red Northline Chuck Norris305X owned by Doug and Cheryl Domolewski. Reserve Champion Intermediate Bull Red Northline Ignition 125W. Reserve Champion Senior Yearling Bull Red Northline Jesse James, owned by Carousel Farms. Red Northline Plush 122x also owned by Carousel Farms was a class winner in her April heifer calves division. Red Northline Ruby 607W, also owned by Carousel Farms was a class winner in her March yearling heifer class.

At the 2010 Keystone International Livestock Exposition, Harrisburg PA, Red Northline Jesse James 56W was crowned Grand Champion Red Angus Bull. Carrousel Farms also had Grand Champion Female. At the recent Vanderhoof, BC fair Northline Attraction 417W was named Grand Champion Ranchers Choice Yearling Female. At the Smithers, BC Gold Show a bull calf sired by Northline Thor and out of a Northline Riptide daughter was Bull Calf Champion and Res. Grand Champion Bull. The Meerdinks were also Premier Breeder and Exhibitor at the Smithers BC Gold Show. Congratulations Gary, Judy and family!

 Northline Angus tours Mexican Angus Ranches

We just recently returned from a 5 day trip to Mexico. While in this beautiful country, we took in the Mexican National livestock show, where we got to be a part of the country's largest and most prestigous cattle exhibition. We also toured some Angus ranches and got an opportunity to visit with Angus breeders and cattlemen groups. The hospitality was unlike any we have ever experienced. Our Mexican friends truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and show us their country and genetics in a way we have never experienced. Trueblood Calves are on the ground

Our first calf crop of our Denver Champion Red Angus bull, Red Northline Trueblood 341T, are on the ground. We are very pleased with them so far. These calves have all been born with moderate birth weights, and vigor. So far we have had a lot of heifers born, we'll be pleased to watch these young girls develop into brood cows and show prospects.
